UPCOMING - Stroud Autumn Arts Trail October 2025

For the first time since 2018, I am taking part in my local open studios event, as part of the 'Autumn Arts Trail". My garden studio will be open as a working studio (expect untidy) with completed and framed work stacked alongside sketches, ideas, work in progress. There will also be framed work displayed in an orderly fashion on the ground floor of my house, providing an opportunity to view paintings from my recent solo show, made over the last two years. In the studio there will be some old work for sale at bargain prices'. I am also selling my A5 cards at a bargain price because I am discontinuing them. if the weather is good, my autumn garden is a pleasant place to sit for a while and enjoy a bit of stroud valleys peace.

The Autumn Arts Trail has evolved from the highly popular Textiles Festival also known as SITselect. Started in 2008 by Lizzie Walton, the festival showcased textiles from around the world alongside the work of local makers, as well as providing a series of talks and events. Over the years the festival broadened to include artists and makers from wider disciplines, and open studios weekends. Monthly Ttmings varied over the years and sometimes there was confusion with the other arts festival run by Stroud Valleys Artspace, known as Site Festival, with many artists taking place in both. For the last two years the festivals have settled into being spaced 5 months apart, with the SVA festival running in June and the Autumn Arts Trail running in October, thus giving visitors a better paced art filled experience.
